Ingredients
  • 10 Prawns
  • 15 g Tamarind Paste
  • 1 tbsp Fish sauce
  • ½ Shallot
  • 1 Garlic clove
  • 1 bunch Coriander leaves

    Cook garlic with shallots

    Heat 1 tbsp vegetable oil in a sauce pan.
    Stir-fry minced garlic and sliced shallot for about 2 minutes until soft.

    Stir-fry the prawns

    Add the prawns (headless, cleaned and deveined).
    Stir-fry until the prawns turn pink colour.

    Stir in the tamarind paste

    Add 1 sachet of tamarind paste and 6 tbsp water. Season with 1 tbsp sugar and 1 tsp fish sauce.
    Bring to the boil then lower the heat and simmer for a while.

    Plate your dish

    Add pepper and garnish with coriander.
    Serve with steamed white rice.
